Lebanese singer Najwa Karam is set to mark Eid and National Day celebrations with a performance at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir. Her songs include 'Naghmet Hob', 'Law Habaytek', 'Nedmaneh', 'Aaskah', 'Hayda Haki', 'W Kberna', 'Wadi el Safi' and 'Rah Yeb2a El Watan' and she won a 'best artist' award from the Lebanese Broadcasting Company. The event, organised by Euphoria, will start at 9pm with a warm-up by local DJ Laila until 10.30pm. Friday (Dec 12)
The Bahrain Road Runners, under the umbrella of the Bahrain Athletics Association, will host the Cross Island Run for approximately 16.5km at the Bahrain Sailing Club. Registration will be held on the day of the race from 11am to 12.15pm. The race is open to all participants over 16. On January 23 the Azrek Half Marathon will be staged. Batelco Melodic Meet 2008 will be held at The Indian School's Jashanmal Auditorium, Isa Town. The event, organised by the Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation (BDSF) in association with the Kerala Arts and Cultural Association (KACA), will start at 7.30pm.
It will feature performances by well- known Indian stars. Performers include south Indian playback singers Anwar Sadath, Mohammed Haneef and Sangeetha Prabhu.
Also performing at the event will be Baiju Jose and Babu Jose, popularly known as the Comedy Cousins.

The Dilmun Club in Saar is presenting the latest Laughter Club event featuring stand-up comedians from London's renowned Comedy Store - Matt Welcome, Sean Kent and Stewart Francis.
Internationally-acclaimed comedian, actor and writer, Stewart has performed worldwide featuring at comedy festivals including Montreal's Just for Laughs, Aspen Comedy Arts Festival, Edinburgh's Fringe Festival, Kilkenny Comedy Festival, Belfast Comedy Festival, Vancouver Comedy Festival and the Smirnoff Comedy Festival in South Africa.
Stewart has also made numerous television appearances and has also written for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Sean has been performing live across the US for over 12 years. The Texas native's incisive socio-political comedy can also be seen on E! Entertainment, Comedy Central, Fox Sports Net, CBS, NBC and VH1 channels.
A cancer survivor, Sean also works to raise awareness by speaking and performing at a variety of annual charity events, including the Cancer for College Fundraiser with Will Farrell and the City of Hope Bone Marrow Transplant Reunion.
Matt is an established headline act on the UK comedy circuit with TV credits to his name that include 'Live at Jongleurs'. He took a sell-out show called 'What you can do' to the Edinburgh Festival in 1996 and became a favourite headline act at Jongleurs comedy clubs around the country in the late 1990s.

Bollywood singer Babul Supriyo will perform at the Gulf Convention Centre in Gulf Hotel, Adliya. 'Amidst Sargam', organised by the Indian Ladies Association, will raise money for the Sneha Recreation Centre, a free facility for children of all nationalities with special needs.
