AN advanced project management course was held at the Central Informatics Organisation headquarters, Isa Town, for working groups from the ministries and government departments involved in e-government projects.
It was organised by the eGovernment Authority of Bahrain (eGA), in co-operation with leading UK training provider Learning Tree International (LTI).
The course, which was attended by 25 officials, was conducted by Steve Power from LTI.
It is one of the requirements for obtaining international certification in project management.
The course focused on ways to approach challenges presented by projects and was designed to enhance the skills of managers.
Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, eGA CEO, said: "This training course is an important part of the effort to assure the success of the e-Government project, which provides government services quickly and simply in line with the Bahrain Government's Vision 2030 initiatives."
The eGA is keen to train government employees through internationally recognised training programmes so that they can be certified as having acquired the necessary skills to manage e-Government projects, said Mr Al Qaed.
