Dear Stan, MY sister Jessica and I both went to Awali School and visited last year for the first time since we left in the 1960s, we also plan to go back later this year to visit the places we missed and to locate our house which we didn't manage to do.

We took some video footage of our visit and we were surprised to see how close various places were to each other, for example, the school, church, pool, cinema and library. We spent hours in the library looking through old issues of the Islander and the school magazine Oasis.

We both live and work in Scotland and would be grateful for any tips on what is new in Bahrain that we should see.

When we were in Bahrain last year we stayed in Manama and were amazed at the changes and all the development that was taking place.

We had hired a car to get around; however, it took us a while to orientate ourselves. Our current plan is that we will revisit Bahrain in September all being well.

Editor's note: Bahrain has changed dramatically in recent years and is still in the process of developing with new housing projects, road networks and attractions.

Don't miss the Lost Paradise of Dilmun Water Park, the Bahrain World Trade Centre, Bahrain Financial Harbour, Amwaj, the Royal Golf Club at Riffa Views, Durrat Al Bahrain, the amazing malls in Seef and Bahrain City Centre, the newly-renovated Adhari Park and, last, but not least, Bahrain International Circuit.

And, that's just for starters!
