The Royal Society of St George will begin this year's events on February 5 with the Accession dinner at Upstairs Downstairs Restaurant, Adliya, to celebrate the accession to the British throne of HM Queen Elizabeth II. Rate is BD 18 per head including three-course dinner, selected beverages and entertainment by Frankie and Friends and singer Christine Gordon. For tickets contact 39726329.
The Young Musician of the Gulf contest will be held at the St Christopher's Senior School in Isa Town from February 16 to 19. Over 100 young musicians will be attending the competition from all over the Gulf. There will also be workshops during the course of the week.
The semi-final will be held at St Christopher's Junior School on Wednesday, February 18 and the final is to be held at The Diplomat RadissonSAS Hotel on Thursday, February 19. For details email Louise.Dracup@st-chris.net.
