BAHRAIN coach Milan Macala has recalled Jaycee John, pictured right, for the kingdom's crucial encounter with Japan in Group 'A' of the 2011 Asian Cup qualifier scheduled for today at the National Stadium in Riffa.
The striker, who plays for Belgium's second division club R E Mouscron, arrived in Bahrain this week to attend the team's training sessions.
Twenty-five players including Qatar's Al Khor Club defender Sayed Mohammed Adnan who returned from Doha last Saturday after playing in Qatar's Star League match against Al Sadd, attended training sessions under the Czech Republic coach ahead of their crunch game.
Meanwhile, Japan's 30-member delegation continued preparations at Al Ahli Club Stadium in Mahooz under coach Takeshi Okada. The visitors arrived in in kingdom with the majority of players from their national J-League.
Okada named 25 players for the Bahrain tie, including Yasuhito Endo, Yuji Nakazawa, Keiji Tamada, Junichi Inamoto and Keisuke Honda, to name a few.
They will be missing star player Shunsuke Nakamura, who inspired them to a 3-2 victory the last time they played in Bahrain during the 2010 World Cup qualifying match last September.
Among other names that will be missing from the lineup for Bahrain's match are Daisuke Matsui, Makoto Hasebe and Yoshito Okubo.
However, the Japanese will pin their hopes on professional duo - Inamoto of Bundesliga giants Eintracht Frankfurt and Honda who plays for Poland's VVV-Venlo.
Meanwhile, the Bahrain Football Association announced that entry for the match will be free of charge for the Bahraini supporters, while Japanese fans will be charged BD7.5 each at the gate.
