Dear Stan,I would like to sincerely thank Santosh Karkera, event manager and co-ordinator of the Mothercare Interschool quiz competition 2009 held recently at the Al Ahli Club, for facilitating a meeting backstage with Derek O Brien, international quiz master and my son Karan's role model.

A very special thanks to Santosh from Karan Beri and his family. Karan, the only participant from Bahrain at the World Memory Championship, presented Derek with a poster which the quiz master genuinely praised.

Karan was over the moon at having an opportunity to meet with his role model Derek and chatted with him about his favourite quiz programme which is anchored by Derek O' Brien. Derek wrote an inspirational message specially for Karan motivating him to make us, his parents, further proud of his achievements.

The autograph is now framed and hung in a place of honour where Karan reads it every morning before going to college. Karan plans to go to meet Derek in India and dreams of featuring in one of his competitions. We hope his dream comes true.
