Classes for upcoming actors

KSDi in Budaiya is offering acting classes for students of all ages at The Children’s House Theater in Budaiya. Bahrain’s first ever Screen Actor Training Programme is expected to create a high level of interest and spur further development of the film/creative community. Starting Friday, 21, classes will be offered for children from five to 12 years, teenagers from 13 to 18 and adults above 18. The class size will be limited so registration is on a first come first served basis.

The classes will be broken down into 15-week courses emphasising screen acting techniques utilising variations of ‘The Method’ created by Konstantin Stanislavski.

The sessions will be video taped utilising KSDI’s state-of-the-art production equipment.  The performances will then be immediately reviewed in the class on the big screen for direct feedback designed to improve the actor’s performance.

At the end of the session, each actor will have their work showcased in an open house event for their friends, family, and associates to see their work on the big screen.

Each student will graduate with a professionally edited demo reel DVD of their performances with an option of having their work posted on a website for friends/family/casting directors and directors to view the reel internationally.

KSDi general manager and veteran Hollywood director, Rick Beeman will head up the instruction of the classes. Through the classes students can also build self-esteem, confidence, self-awareness, improvisational ability, and a better understanding of themselves emotionally and psychologically.
