Banyan Tree is nominated for travel award

The resort, at Al Areen, has been nominated in the 2009 Best Spa Category on the MENA Travel Awards which are aimed at recognising the top industry organisations which have gone the extra mile to bring success to the Middle East and North Africa's growing travel industry.

The Banyan Tree, which is part of a world-wide brand, is particularly noted for the intimacy of its walled villas, each of which include a private pool and garden seating area, and the complete luxury offered to guests.

And the Bahrain Banyan Tree is also well known for the quality of its restaurants and the luxurious spa treatments, which have helped it gain this important nomination.

A spokesman for the spa said: "We are delighted with this nomination."
