London's finest put on a capital display of musical mastery at the Up & Down which had the house rocking to a couple of sizzling sets by Nine Below Zero.
It's remarkable to think that these lively seasoned performers had never appeared in the Middle East during their long career but they made up for lost time by delivering a mixture of rhythm and blues, a touch of country and some good, old fashioned rock.
They even managed to slip in some soul too with a fine instrumental version of Ben E King's classic Spanish Harlem.
This year the band celebrates its 30th anniversary and is about to release a brand new album in the coming months.
As a result Dennis Greaves, Gerry McAvoy, Mark Feltham and Brendon O'Neill produce as tight an outfit as you'll ever likely to see.
Excellent guitar playing, powerful drums and a good measure of harmonica delighted the crowd alongside some super vocal harmony, particularly on 'Why Don't You Try Me Tonight' which, by all accounts, showcased the act's more sophisticated side after a night of rockin' on the previous evening at the Dilmun Club in Saar.
The dancers in the audience also had their change to shine too thanks to some belting versions of 'How Sweet It Is To Be Loved By You' and 'I'm A Believer'.
One of the best band's to appear on stage at this venue ... don't miss Nine Below Zero's return to these shores early next year ... inshallah!
