Wednesday (April 1) L'atelier art lounge at the Country Mall in Budaiya will host a ladies morning with tea, coffee and snacks today from 9.30am to 12.30pm. Ladies can prepare their Easter basket. Rates are BD10 per head. Tomorrow evening from 6.30pm to 9.30pm, anyone can join the Easter basket painting session at the art lounge also at BD10 per head. DJ Shadow will officially launch his album Desilicious with a party at the Level, Mishal Hotel, Hoora tonight. The 'Aura - Premium Asian Night' will offer the first 50 guests a free CD. DJ Shadow has performed across the globe including London, Bangkok, Mumbai and Dubai. He has worked alongside renowned artists such as Rishi Rich, Jay Sean, Juggy D, Veronica, Raghav and Bombay Rockers. The second Bahrain International Motor Show will be held at the Bahrain International Circuit, Sakhir today and tomorrow. The event will feature Big Foot the Monster Truck, Drag Racing and a stunt bike show. DJ David Vendetta will perform at a concert today alongside a number of DJs.

The Telugu Kala Samithi will be celebrating Ugadi - Telugu New Year from 10am at The Palace, Adliya. The name of the festival is derived from 'Yuga Aadi' which means New Age and falls on Chaitra Shuddha Padyami, the day Lord Brahma created the universe, according to Hindu mythology. Festivities will include a specially dish prepared consisting of different tastes and panchanga shravanam. Other events include a classical dance, cultural skit and entertainment programmes by members and their children. A traditional festive Andhra lunch consisting of special items will be served.

The Bahrain Toastmasters Annual Conference 2009 for Division C will be held at the Crowne Plaza Bahrain in Manama. The 'Toastmasters - Quality and Leadership Redefined' conference will be held under the patronage of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, chairman of the Board of Trustees of charities. Organisers are expecting to attract around 400 participants representing 27 clubs from across the island. There will be over 20 contestants representing different clubs competing for gold, silver and bronze awards in the following categories - International, Evaluation, Table Topic and Humorist speech contests. The conference aims to select and prepare the best Toastmaster speakers to represent Bahrain at the District 79 (GCC countries and Jordan) contest which will be held in the United Arab Emirates in May.

My Father's House Exhibition at the Beit Al Quran will be open to the public until April 20 and has associated events including a Visiting Photographers' Talk by the six exhibiting photographers today at 11am at the Beit Al Quran. Tuesday (April 7)
A joint exhibition called 'Temptations of an Angel' between Bahraini poet Qassim Al Heddad and Bahraini artist Lubna Al Amin will be held as part of the Spring of Culture events until April 17 beginning today at the Albareh Art Gallery in Adliya. Al Heddad has written a collection of poems about Berlin, Paris and his country Bahrain.
Lubna has participated in many solo and group shows in Europe and Bahrain.
The exhibition has been showcased in Berlin, followed by Bahrain and later will end in Paris.
The evening will start with Haddad signing his book 'Leave the Angel' and then be followed by poetry readings from the book.
