The West End Stage Experience and Popular Productions will present the award-winning, popular musical 'Annie' live on stage for two weeks at the Madinat Theatre, Madinat Jumeirah, UAE, opening on April 8.

The Banyan Tree Al Areen Resort and Spa, Al Areen, is once again conducting its Tamarind Spa Cuisine cooking classes on April 18. The hotel's executive chef Josef Umenberger will guide participants towards discovering a healthy approach to eating and they will also get to try their hands at dicing and slicing with foods focusing on highly-nutritious cuisine. British artist Andrew Hodgson will hold an exhibition of water colour paintings, inspired by life in Bahrain at Lina's CafŽ at the Diplomatic Area from April 11 to May 8.

The exhibition opens on April 11 from 7pm to 9.30pm.

In his first one-man show in Bahrain, Hodgson will display his artistic impressions of life in the kingdom. Andrew is inspired by the local landscape and cityscape, capturing the flavour of the souq, and the heat of the desert in a series of stunning water colour paintings.

He has lived in Bahrain for two-and-a-half years and comes from Lancashire.

The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain Hotel and Spa will host an Easter Brunch on April 12 offering culinary delicacies produced by the hotel's chefs at live cooking stations. A large selection of mezze, salads and deserts will be on offer. The Easter celebration will be rounded off with live music performances and little ones can have fun joining a traditional egg hunt with Easter bunny Ritzy. The Easter Brunch will be from noon to 4pm and is priced at BD21++ per person.

The hotel is also gearing up for its sixth Formula One Grand Prix weekend from April 23 to 26 with the 'Dining under the Stars' promotion. An Arabic themed poolside will attract diners offering an authentic Arabic buffet with live cooking stations around the pool and a dessert buffet on the beach. Special performances by an Arabic band as well as a DJ, playing contemporary lounge music on the beach, will provide entertainment. Renowned French Maitre Chocolatier, Stephane Glacier, will prepare some of his favorite desserts showcasing one of the world's best chocolates from Fletchin Chocolates, Switzerland.

The Coral Beach Club, Manama will host the sixth annual official Fashion TV Grand Prix After Party on Sunday, April 26. Organised by Likwid the event is expected to attract around 4,000 people this year. Entertainment will be provided by Hed Kandi's resident DJ, weekly radio show presenter David Dunne and the Kandi Girlz, dancers.
