Wednesday (Apr 8)Film - Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World on Fox Movies at 11pm.

During the Napoleonic Wars, Lucky Jack Aubrey (Russell Crowe) captains the crew of HMS Surprise. When the ship is suddenly attacked by a superior enemy, it is badly damaged and many of his crew are injured. In a bold and dangerous move, Aubrey decides to set sail in a high stakes chase across two oceans to intercept and capture their foe. It's a mission that can decide the fate of a nation or destroy Lucky Jack and his crew.

It's nice! I like! Sacha Baron Cohen brings his Kazakh journalist character Borat Sagdiyev to the big screen. Leaving his native Kazakhstan, Borat travels to America to make a documentary. As he zigzags across the nation, Borat meets real people in real situations with hysterical consequences. His backwards behaviour generates strong reactions, exposing prejudices and hypocrisies in American culture.

A soldier's unexpected arrival affects two women's simple existence. Saiva (Michelle Yeoh) and her adopted daughter Anja (Michelle Krusiec), the sole survivors of an indigenous tribe, are forced further North to escape soldiers taking over their homeland and settle on a desolate island. Theirs is a lonely existence, until, one day, Loki (Sean Bean) appears on the ice and collapses, close to death. Saiva, against her better instincts, brings him back to their tent where both women compete for his affections with terrifying consequences.

Carrier, a 10-part series filmed aboard the USS Nimitz, is a character-driven immersion in the high-stakes world of a nuclear aircraft carrier. The episodes follow a core group of characters, from the admiral of the strike group to the fighter pilots to the youngest sailors, as they navigate personal conflicts around their jobs, families, faith, patriotism, love, the rites of passage and the war on terror. As the Nimitz makes its final transit from Hawaii to California, those on board prepare to return to their homes.
