Dear Stan, Naturally, as a fan I am disappointed to see Gulf Air-sponsored QPR languishing in mid-table and missing out on the play-offs after all the hype, expectation and investment shown at the start of the season.

One has to look at Mssrs Paladini and Briatore, left, for blame; no club can expect to perform consistently after appointing five managers in 18 months, with three this season alone! What kind of board loans out the team's top, and only fit, striker without the manager's knowledge? It could be worse though, just look at the predicaments of Norwich, Southampton and Charlton.
