Diyar Al Muharraq, Bahrain's 12sq/km mixed-use master-planned city and leading environmental developer, has been highly commended at the British Expertise Awards in London.
Scott Wilson Group, Diyar Al Muharraq's design and engineering consultancy, which specialises in providing sustainable and integrated planning for projects in the natural environment, received a Certificate of Commendation, presented by The Duke of Gloucester KG GCVO.
The awards recognise excellence in design, planning, management and construction of overseas projects and supports the continued outstanding success of UK professional services throughout the world.
Previous winners of the prestigious award from the region includes Dubai Drydocks, Abu Dhabi's Saadiyat Island and The Wadi Hanifah Restoration Plan in Saudi Arabia.
This year's the overall winner for is the Abu Dhabi Grand Mosque.
