Thursday (May 27) Australian vocalist, pianist and entertainer Colin Salter will perform at the Upstairs Downstairs restaurant, Adliya, until end of May from 8pm.

As part of the month-long Kudlotsava 2009 a ladies-only seven-a-side Softball Cricket tournament will take place today at the Indian Club, Manama. The Young Goans Club (YGC) May Queen beauty pageant will take place at the Delmon International Hotel, Manama, from 8pm. Registration is free for women of all nationalities aged between 15 and 28. Participants will compete for the May Queen, First Runner-up and Second Runner-u with prizes including gold, electronic items, beauty care products, air tickets, and surprise gift hampers.

Friday (May 29)

French novelty juggler Ezec Le Floc'h will perform at the Alliance Francaise auditorium, Isa Town. The show, entitled Un, will take place from 7.30pm. The gymnast-turned-performer began his career in 1994 at the Bare Circus in France and has since written and performed in a number of entertainment shows in cities from Moscow to Bangkok and Berlin to Las Vegas.

International pool and billiards player Steve Lillis has been performing a series of 'Trick Shots' at different pool centres in Bahrain with the final free public event at the Al Raja School Auditorium at 7pm tonight. Entrance is open to all. Trick Shot or Artistic pool is an entertaining discipline of pool where observers are often fascinated by the rhythmic dancing of the balls which then magically makes their way to the pockets. Steve is the founder and president of Gospel Trickshot Ministries Inc (GTS) a non-profit Christian organisation whose mission is to entertain and encourage young and old alike through the combined used of amazing Trick Shots and inspiring talks.

Al Riwaq Gallery will run a weekly workshop for children between eight and 12 starting from today for two months. Classes will be held every Saturday from 11am to 12.30pm. Registration fee will be applied.

Art exhibition 'When the Word turns into a Fragrant Ray of Light' being held at the Bin Mattar House, Muharraq ends today. It features 30 works by Bahrain-based Iraqi artist Firyal Al Adhamy which make use of ceramic and wood on canvas.

It is open to the public from 9am to 1pm and from 4pm to 7pm.

The third annual Vintage Designer Cahrity sale will be held from 10am to 7pm at Kooheji Majlis, Hamala. Designer clothes, bags, shoes and accessories for men, women and children will be available. All proceeds will go to the Alia School to help children with Autism. For details contact 39661133.
