High fashion, rich culture and a beautiful backdrop make Argentina the 2009 one of the must-visit destinations among the Middle East's jet set.

To cope with the greater demand for travel to and from the Middle East, the 10 leading airports in the region are building enough capacity to handle 320 million passengers a year by 2012, according to the Asia Pacific Aviation Centre.

Growth in the Middle East's aviation industry is pegged to the increasing effectiveness of regional airlines that are improving their flight capacity and frequency thus becoming an East-West and North-South connectivity hub, the centre added.

"Buenos Aires is a timeless destination and its natural beauty, deeply rooted culture and passionate people make it an exciting place to visit for travellers from all over the world and increasingly so from the Middle East," said a Hyatt representative, commenting on the surge of regional interest in Park Hyatt hotels in Buenos Aires.

For holidaymakers wanting to experience a variety of entertainment ranging from tango-fuelled nightlife to culture-filled art galleries and outdoor cafes - Buenos Aires is an appealing hotspot that caters to all tastes.

The Palacio Duhau Park Hyatt is situated in the fashionable Recoleta shopping and residential district on Avenida Alvear, the hotel integrates the city's historical past with innovative design and ultramodern comforts.

The hotel, which boasts six restaurants and bars, is located near to the Col—n Theatre - the principal lyric theatre in South America, the national museum of 'Bellas Artes' and the museum of Latin American Art.

Another idyllic location for visitors to Argentina is Park Hyatt Mendoza situated on the Plaza de la Independencia in close proximity to the Mendoza vineyards and within driving distance of the country's main ski resorts.

Park Hyatt Mendoza embodies Argentina's European heritage with its skilfully restored 19th-century Spanish colonial faade.

The hotel is also home to the Kaua club and spa where guests can indulge in pampering treatments that are true to the region with their use of grapes and wine in the custom-made products.
