Friday (July 17)
Kart Zone at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir is offering a 25 per cent discount on tickets and 40 per cent off on Formula One merchandise at the circuit's Welcome Centre shop. Costs are BD3.750 for adults and BD3 for juniors until August 31.
Time in the karts can be purchased for 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes, 40 minutes, 50 minutes and a full hour between 5pm and 11pm on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights. Participants must be at least 1.4 meters in height and up to 15 years old to be able to take part as a junior driver.

The seventh annual Little Picassos Drawing Competition will be held at Al A'ali Shopping Complex from 10am to 9pm. This year's theme is 'Clean + Green'. Activities include face painting, henna body art, photo booths and there are gifts as well as prizes for the winners. Part of the proceeds will be donated to leading charity organisations in Bahrain. Al Riwaq Gallery at the Al A'ali Shopping complex presents the last of its weekly film programmes at 7pm.
By telling stories of exile and occupation, the series highlights the way in which daily experiences of violence and restrictions affect the work of the artists as well as their self-perception. All the films and documentaries shown are courtesy of Bahrain Cinema Club. It is free for all and open to the public.
Forbidden Childhood

Story: This feature-length documentary highlights dreams of a future without conflict, telling the stories of Palestinian ex-militants and Israeli soldiers who are currently engaged in the joint project, 'Combatants for peace'.
Forbidden Childhood received the Audience Award for Best Documentary Film at the Bahrein International Human Rights Film Festival (May 2009), and the Amnesty International Cinema and Human Rights Award at the Pesaro International Film Festival for New Cinema (June 2009).
