Film - The Last International Playboy on Super Movies at 9pm.

Roswell star Jason Behr assumes the role of Jake Frost, the ultimate New York City playboy who sinks into a deep depression after learning that his childhood love Caroline (Monet Mazur) is engaged to another man. Still haunted by his mother's suicide, professional charmer Jack spirals into a self-destructive cycle of alcohol and reckless behaviour. Strangely, it isn't Jake's grown-up friends who offer him the most useful relationship advice, but his 11-year-old neighbour Sophie (India Ennenga).

Film - The Banger Sisters on Star Movies at 8.30pm.

Best pals Suzette (Goldie Hawn) and Vinnie (Susan Sarandon) were once wild, celebrated groupies back in the late 60s and early 70s. But when the now 50-something Suzette loses her job as a bartender at a LA club, she decides to head to Phoenix to look up her old friend. Upon arrival, Suzette is surprised to find that her once wild friend has completely changed her ways. Vinnie is now refined and cultured, married to a strait-laced lawyer and the mother of two teen daughters. With Suzette back, Vinnie is forced to confront her past in order to embrace her true self.

SATURDAY (Aug 15)

Film - Mafia! on Star Movies at 8.30pm.

A parody of mafia classics such as The Godfather trilogy and Casino, this hilarious comedy spoof follows the story of Vincenzo (Lloyd Bridges), the clumsy head of the mafia and his sons, Joey (Billy Burke) and Tony (Jay Mohr). After Tony sets out to avenge a murder attempt on Vincenzo, he flees to Vegas and becomes a successful casino manager. Proud of his son's success, Vincenzo names Tony his successor, much to Joey's chagrin. But when Tony meets femme fatale Pepper Gianini (Pamela Gidley), he gets entwined in a plot designed to distract him from his duties and to drive a wedge between him and Joey.

SUNDAY (Aug 16)

Film - Invincible on Star Movies at 8.30pm.

This is the true story of Vince Papale (Mark Wahlberg), a down-on-his-luck football fan who dreams of standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the game's best players. When he learns that Coach Vermeil (Greg Kinnear) of the Philadelphia Eagles is organising an open tryout, Papale seizes the chance to join the big league. Although the 30-year-old substitute teacher had never played college football, with determination and persistence, he sets out to live the dream. With a position on the Eagles secured, Papale proves it's never too late to take control of your own destiny.

MONDAY (Aug 17)

When a fading news reporter Peter Brackett (Nick Nolte) and an aspiring young reporter Sabrina Peterson (Julia Roberts) are assigned to cover a mysterious train crash, personalities clash and professional rivalry ensues. But when they discover suspicions surrounding the crash, they put their differences aside to work together and look deeper into the accident. Soon they find themselves entwined in a dangerous conspiracy, while struggling to keep their growing feelings for each other in check.

TUESDAY (Aug 18)

Film - Elizabethtown on Fox Movies at 9pm.

Drew Baylor (Orlando Bloom), once a rising star at a leading athletic shoe company, has just been fired due to the failure of his design for a sneaker and the $972 million loss his company suffered because of the fiasco. Things get even worse when Drew receives a phone call informing him that his father has passed away and he needs to get to Elizabethtown, Kentucky, to retrieve his remains. On the plane, Drew meets Claire (Kirsten Dunst), a flight attendant, who changes the course of his life. It is in Kentucky that Drew comes to learn about his own family roots.
