Orbit Showtime's movie premier promotion 'First Time Friday' continues in August with an outstanding line-up including The Kingdom, College Road Trip and Taken, every Friday at 9pm on Showmovies 1.
The non-stop action thriller The Kingdom explodes on August 14 when a terrorist bomb detonates inside a Western housing compound in Riyadh and an international incident is ignited. While diplomats slowly debate equations of territorialism, FBI Special Agent Ronald Fleury quickly assembles an elite team and negotiates a secret five-day trip into Saudi Arabia to locate the man behind the bombing.
Next up on August 21, is College Road Trip. An ambitious and confident Melanie Porter (Raven Symone) is eagerly looking forward to her first big step towards independence, a girls-only road trip to check out colleges.
But this rite of passage takes a wrong turn when her overprotective father (Martine Lawrence) insists on escorting her instead and Melanie's dream trip quickly turns into a nightmare of wild and wacky curves.
Rounding up the First Time Friday slot on August 28 comes the action thriller Taken. When his estranged teenaged daughter (Maggie Grace) is kidnapped in Paris, former spy (Liam Neeson) sets out to find her at any cost.
Relying on his special skills, he tracks down the ruthless gang that abducted her and launches a one-man war to bring them to justice and rescue his daughter.
