The Awali Football Club's Annual Hallowe'en party will be held October 29 at 6.30pm. The clubhouse grounds will be converted to graveyard fairgrounds. A trick or treat map will be given out and some Awali houses will welcome sweet scavengers after the party. Children must be supervised at all times. The Royal Society of St George will hold a Trafalgar Day Ball at the Gulf Hotel Convention Centre in Adliya on October 29 from 7.30pm. Dress code is black tie or national dress. Tickets are priced at BD30 for members and BD32 for guests. The Filipino Club in Bahrain is set to host its biggest event of the year to celebrate its 30th anniversary on December 4 at the Andalus Garden in Gudaibya.

Dubbed as the 'The Filipino Club Pearl Anniversary Celebration', the event will highlight some of the regional festivals in the Philippines as well as showcase Filipino dishes, traditional games, arts, photography and crafts bazaar, karaoke singing as well as information booth for government services available for Overseas Filipino Workers and special interest groups.

The club also aims to raise funds for the Mabuhay Project as well as for a local charity.

The Mabuhay Project is a seven-year undertaking that envisions building a clubhouse for the Filipino community that will provide facilities for sports, social, educational and recreational activities that will benefit the Filipinos, Bahrainis and other expat communities, thereby enhancing the cooperation and camaraderie among members of different communities in the kingdom.

The British Club will be welcoming two tribute acts celebrating Robbie Williams and Freddie Mercury on November 5 from 7.30pm. The event will also feature a local band and a DJ.
