Stu Shepard (Colin Farrell) is an arrogant New York City publicist who juggles a busy career with both a wife, and a mistress. After picking up a ringing phone on a busy street, a stranger on the other end (Kiefer Sutherland) informs him that if he hangs up, he will be shot. When another man tries to make his way into the booth, he's shot inches from Stu, calling the attention of the police. Stu struggles to find a way to convince the police of what's happening without leaving the booth.
