FESTIVE food galore is in store for diners as the island celebrates Eid Al Adha. Indian fine-dining restaurant Lanterns, situated on the Budaiya highway, is offering guests a special lunch and dinner buffet for all three days of Eid - Friday to Sunday.

Restaurant manager Anwar Hussain said: "We will be having a comprehensive range of seafood delicacies this time.

"In total, we will feature 15 salads, seven types of appetisers, two types of soup, 11 main course dishes as well as eight to nine different sweet dishes.

"We will also have the barbecue section served at the tables, serving grills fresh off the tandoor or oven."

Complimenting the interiors with its typical Indian village sets, the 21-year-old establishment will also feature live acoustic music for guests every night as well as during lunchtime on Saturday.

Rate for the buffet is BD7.5 plus 15 per cent service charges per head. Aside from its Eid specialties, the restaurant also offers a lunch buffet every Friday and Saturday and dinner buffet on Mondays.

The buffet features 20 salads, 13 main courses, two soups, seven starters and nine desserts. Guests can also choose their own stir fry with options of meat, sauce and vegetables alongside a barbeque section.

Mr Hussain said: "Our buffet have always been popular with our guests. It could be because the prices are more reasonable than ordering off the menu card.

"I would like to suggest our customers to please make reservations before they visit us in order to be confirmed a seat as the weekends are particularly busy."

Rate for the regular buffet is BD5.9 plus 15 per cent service charges per head. For details, contact the restaurant on 17590591.
