A three-day glamorous extravaganza of fashion was staged at Seef Mall, writes Marie-Claire.

The event on Thursday, Friday and Saturday included shows featuring kids wear, casual wear, sports wear, smart casual and evening wear along with accessories and a jewellery show displaying local and international designs.

Celebrity DJ Sassy Pandaz provided the soundtrack for the whole event, bringing her own unique blend of reggaeton, hip-hop, R'n'B, dancehall, and club classics for the perfect backdrop to the sleek and trendy colourful parade of fashion couture.

With models provided by simply-casting.com - the brainchild of Angel Cecil and Laura Bale - the choreography and entertainment was reminiscent of leading fashion events staged around the world.

Designers included Manal Al Qudhi, Fadia Sawabini, Hala and Ahmed Ahmed Greenosh, while brands included La Senza Girl, CK Underwear, Kenneth Cole, Tommy Hilfiger, Monsoon, Pumpkin Patch, Hobbs, Oasis and many more, with make-up from Sephora, Faces and Inglot.

Continuing on the fashion scene, La Boutique 92, Al-Othman Bridal @La Fontaine, Al-Othman @Villa Moda - Moda Mall and La Fontaine Spa hosted a 'Shop With Your Heart' event last Saturday to raise funds for the patients at the Children's Cancer Ward at Salmaniya Medical Complex this Eid Al Adha.

The event included a presentation of the new collection at La Boutique from Distraction by Haya Al Khalifa.

The boutique displayed its collections of women's hand-made clothing, sandals, jewellery and accessories from Paul Ropp and Vanda among others.

The event coincided with the re-launch of The La Fontaine Spa on the same evening where new beauty products were introduced as well as special Eid Al Adha Spa Packages tailored exclusively for the event.

In the spirit of generosity in the face of such a worthy cause, 10 per cent of all sales generated on the day were donated to the ward in gifts and books, as well as redecorating the recovery and treatment rooms. La Boutique 92's donation includes sales made between November 1-22.

The event focused on encouraging 'conscious consumerism' and was a great opportunity for women who love fashion, or even early Christmas shoppers, to show their support to the cause by shopping with their hearts. More than BD500 was raised.
