The Sahara Riding Centre's fourth show in this season's Dressage League at the weekend saw a flurry of early Friday morning activity with dozens of horses and ponies arriving at the stables in anticipation of the day's events.

The event was an absolute scorcher with some seriously HOT riding going on.

All riders had a fabulous day and the event was run brilliantly, sponsored by Marmara Trading, Reza Alafoo & Thalib Al Alawi. The show saw all classes being run from Best Turned Out to the highest Medium test. The turnout was great and the riding standard excellent.

On Saturday the Twin Palms Riding Centre ran a novice/fun show jumping event with the aim of promoting good riding style and techniques as well as to involve and encourage younger and less experienced riders.

The first class beginners pairs, saw many pairs of young riders take to the arena in their first-ever competition.

This was a fabulous confidence booster. The first time in a show jumping arena can undoubtedly be a daunting task for any of us, so to be able to go in with a friend is brilliant.

The Class 2 mini-treasure hunt was a huge success. The children chose whatever obstacle they wanted to go over - some were jumps, some poles on the ground, and all with a secret number of points which meant anyone could have won.

The 3rd class was a Pairs class for older riders, usually a speed class. This particular one was judged on skill and rider/horse technique.

The older riders treasure hunt class involved a course of obstacles. The riders had to jump a combination of fences, again all with a hidden amount of points. The final class tested the nerves of the riders, with a set course of fences.
