Construction has started on Al Argan Bahrain's latest project, Jeyoun, a mixed-use development worth BD26.5 million.
The project is situated in Abu Gowa, just seven minutes from Manama. General manager of Al Argan Bahrain, Fauzia Al Khanjari, said: "Jeyoun is a mixed-use project which covers 37,803 square metres and consists of a residential component,
"It will also include 82 townhouses and a commercial and retail component comprising an area of 9,839sqm.
"The development will include shops, restaurants and landscaping to serve the surrounding community."
Al Argan Bahrain says it has conducted an extensive study on the Bahraini market and identified a lack of affordable, middle-income housing in the kingdom.
The company's initial project, Saar Gate, fully sold out within just nine months of the project's launch.
Building on this success, Al Argan Bahrain developed the Jeyoun project, which is expected to by completed by 2012.
Jeyoun is located approximately 0.5 kilometres from the Shaikh Issa Bin Salman Highway and is also close to several services and facilities in the area.
