The Dilmun Club are riding high on top of the championship league table but have played one more game than archrivals Wahooo! and the Rugby Club.

The Dilly boys hope that when their two main title contenders clash they will cancel each other out.

In recent games they have looked unstoppable. Last week the Dilmun Club thrashed the British Club 3-0 after a high-spirited encounter with midfielder Steve Rutter and in-form striker Mark Evans's brace accounting for the goals.

According to Dilmun captain David Lord the British Club performed well but were no match for his side's powerful attacking play.

The second game of Monday night's action saw favourites Wahooo! take on the league's former whipping boys St Christopher's School and fail to secure all three points with the match ending in a 2-2 draw.

St Christopher's captain and teacher Mark Holness along with midfielders Paul Bodster and Craig Blyth were forced to sit on the bench for the start of the game after picking up niggling injuries during the campaign.

Wahooo! had the ideal start as striker Chris Tricker scored just after kick off. Captain Holness's pep talk saw his side came out in the second half firing on all cylinders. Wahooo!, however, had other ideas and increased the lead through Krazy Kevin.

Undeterred, the St Chris team turned up the heat and were rewarded with a trade mark swivel goal from Richard 'the posh' Dixon Clarke.

Wahoo came at the St Chris defence hard but Simon 'Pops' Maye and Neil 'Crouchy' Harvey were magnificent in defence. They were aided by Ronan Armstrong who rose like a piper player to the task.

With seconds to go sub Holness was scythed from behind in the penalty box as he was about to unleash a pile-driver. The referee had no option but to award a penalty kick. The ever dependable Dan Lee hit the ball crisply through the goalkeeper's legs, securing a point.

Monday's fixtures were cancelled to account for Easter.
