The inaugural St Christopher's IB Visual Arts Exhibition entitled MMX opens today at the Senior School campus in Isa Town. For the seven students involved, this exhibition is the culmination of producing a portfolio of Studio Pieces and Investigation Work Books for 18 months. The exhibition is open until Tuesday but it will remain closed on Thursday. The viewing times are 8am until 2.30pm. For details contact 17788101 on ext 157.

The Royal Society of St George will hold its annual Red and White Ball at the Sheraton Bahrain Al Taj Ballroom in Manama. Entertainment will be provided by the Bahrain Police Band Chamber Orchestra, DJ Krazy Kevin as well as traditional Beefeaters.Tickets are BD32 for guests and BD29 for members. Al Riwaq Art Space in Adliya is hosting a silent auction to benefit the Bahrain Cancer Society until Tuesday. Visitors will be able to bid and buy recycled contemporary design pieces along with paintings, sculptures and various items donated by a selected group of artists. The Courtyard Gallery in Hamala is hosting a solo exhibition by Bahraini Artist Sayed Hassan Al Saari until April 29 featuring a 25-strong collection of oils and acrylics on canvas and media paper. Sayed has drawn on many levels to capture his art in this form, with certain images representing a wedding. Born in Bahrain, Sayed was the head of the Fine Arts Club of Bahrain University.
