Bahrain Airport Company has signed up to become a major sponsor of the Bahrain International Travel Expo - BITE 2010 - which will be staged next month.
The annual event is organised by Magnum Events and Exhibitions Management, which welcomed its new platinum partner on board and hopes the relationship will grow over the coming years.
"BITE will be a platform to showcase the direction we are taking to transform Bahrain International Airport into a world class aviation hub and strengthen its contribution to Bahrain's economy and travel industry," said Dr Osama Al Ali, chief executive of Bahrain Airport Company.
The official signing ceremony between Jamil Wafa, group founder and executive chairman, Magnum Holding, the parent company of MEEM, and Dr Al Ali was held in the boardroom of Unitag House.
Bahrain International Travel Expo - BITE 2010 the first business-to-consumers travel and tourism event in the region, is all set to open for its sixth year from May 13-15 under the patronage of Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, Bahrain's Minister of Culture and Information.
