The Bahrain School will hold its 2010 Annual Student Art Exhibition from 2.30 pm to 5pm in the Gill Hall. During the past year the students have studied the work of French impressionist Claude Monet and his fellow artists. They have also explored numerous art mediums such as printmaking, still life painting, figure drawing, sculpture, ceramics, and firing in the kiln.
A presentation-debate 'My Experience in Children Theatre' by Nedhal Al Attawi will be held by the Alliance Franaise Bahrain at its premises in Isa Town at 7.30pm. It will be conducted and translated by Kalthoom Amin in Arabic and French. For details contact 17683295.
Thursday (June 10)
Bushido will present Bahrain's Top Model 2010 grand finale. The event will feature a fashion show and will be presided over by DJ Edward Maya. Doors open at 8.30pm and show starts at 9pm. The CinŽ-club will present Qui m'aime me suive (France, 2006) at the Centre Culturel Franco-Bahre•nien La Maison Jamsheer, Muharraq at 7.30pm. The film is about 35-year-old Maxime, a brilliant doctor, who leads an orderly life surrounded by his lawyer wife but admired by his friends and his happy family. But, one day he meets Chine, a singer, and receives the shock everyone close to him has always dreaded. Max decides to chuck in his career and starts up a rock group, fulfilling at last a youth dream. He drags everyone else into his madcap escapade; his decisions affect all their lives.

International glass artist Giuse Maggi is exhibiting her work 'Glass to Art' at the Bahrain Arts Society in Budaiya. Held under the patronage of Milena Padula, the Italian ambassador's wife, the artist will display her works along with her students Marialine Verdickt, Victoria Kyte, Susan Crosby, Erika Nottingham-Rawles, Nadia Alsayed, Osama Alsayed and Loraine Todd. Sunday (June 13)
Goan artist Arthur Dsouza will open a solo exhibition titled 'Pieces of Me' at 7.30pm at the Qal'at Al Bahrain Site Museum. Using a technique he refers to as positively paper, Arthur creates his artworks with positive film and coloured paper layered between two sheets of glass, one between the paper fragments and positive film and another on top. It also gives the works a special luminosity since the glass seems to trap light, while giving the piece something of a 3D effect. The event will be held until July 3 from 8am to 9pm daily. Tuesday (June 15)
A collective exhibition titled 'Jumble' until June 31 at the Al Riwaq Art Space in Adliya. It will focus on experimental art works created by upcoming and emerging artists from Bahrain. The show's aim is to encourage youth's creativity and to provide the artists with a space to display their artistic expressions. Participating artists include Ahmed Anan, Nader Abdulrahim, Mohammed Sharkawi, Waheeda Malullah , Rashid Al Oraifi, Salman Al Najem, Ahmed Al Mannai, Khadeja Al A'ali, Nour Al Alawi, Fatima Juma, Sara Kanoo, Ibrahim Azzam, Mahmood Al Shargawi, Mohammed Hussain Al Mahdi, Kanwal Tariq, Jenan Al Maskati and Yousra Al Banna.
