The CinŽ-club at the Alliance Franaise Bahrain in Isa Town will showcase the movie Vers le Sud at 7.30pm. The 2005 film is directed by Laurent Cantet and stars Rabah Ameur-Zaimeche, Meriem Serbah and Abel Jafri and tells the story about three female tourists who have their eyes opened while visiting the poverty-stricken and dangerous world of 1980s Haiti. The executive committee of the Indian Medical Association Bahrain Chapter (IMA) is hosting an event t the Sheraton Hotel in Manama from 9pm to celebrate 'Doctor's Day'. Art exhibition 'Pieces of Me' by artist Arthur D'souza ends tonight at 9pm at the Qal'at Al Bahrain Site Museum. Using a technique he refers to as 'positively paper', Arthur creates his artworks with positive film and coloured paper layered between two sheets of glass, one between the paper fragments and positive film and another on top. Al Riwaq Art Space in Adliya is hosting a programme for young Bahraini artists every Sunday and Wednesday. The group will consist of seven artists and go through a series of seminars / workshops. Free advice and tips on how to save children from drowning with child/infant CPR demonstrations will be held at 10am, noon, 2pm and 4pm today and tomorrow by registered nurses, midwives and first aid instructors at the Layla Garden squash court in Saar.
