More than 50 players braved humid conditions and raised more than BD700 during the Dreamflight charity golf event at the Royal Golf Club.

The individual stableford tournament tested players' ability with different forfeits on each hole deciding how much was personally donated to Dreamflight.

"We are delighted to support Dreamflight in their fundraising efforts," said Phil Jones, the Royal Golf Club's director of golf operations at the prize-giving ceremony.

"I would like to thank Debbie Beedie and her team of volunteers from the Dreamflight charity for their help. Thanks must also go to the corporate sponsors of the event - Batelco, African & Eastern and Berlitz Language Centre, and to the players who made personal donations."
