Dare to be healthier?

Just the other day, I was talking to one of my clients about diet changes and massage. She didn't seem convinced with what I was saying.

"It's not my thing," she said.

"Well, your 'thing' has not been working for you, has it?" I replied.

And it's true. If your health is suffering and you're living with symptoms that you're not happy with, then obviously what you're doing is not working. So why would you want to keep doing it?

Sometimes, making changes to their lifestyle and eating habits can take people right out of their comfort zone. They don't feel comfortable trying new things and experiencing new sensations. It might be too big a leap for some. But let me tell you this: If you don't try, you'll never know.

I've had several clients who agree to make certain changes to their diet, and then come back to me a month later having done nothing at all.

So what happened?

Change can sometimes be scary and the little voice in your head might be telling you to be careful or to stay where you are. In order for you to cut loose from these chains, you have to take the plunge.

I believe that good health is available to everyone, but it only comes to those who dare to do what it takes.

Yes, we all know that we need to eat less and have more fruits and vegetables, but have you ever known what it's like to wake up in the morning, leap out of bed, and feel genuinely happy and able to face the day?

Most people say no.

If you don't give your body the chance to get healthy, then you will never experience your body at its optimum, regardless of your age.

So, here's the plan. The first thing you need to do is change your mind-set.

If you cannot stop eating meat and dairy, for example, because you see yourself as a carnivore personality who loves animal products, then I invite you to take on a different personality. The reason people continue with their eating habits (however unhealthy they are) is because they programme themselves on it and convince themselves that they need it because it's part of their personality.

Try it. Take on a new personality today. Repeat this:

'I see myself as someone who loves dark green leaves and salads'

'I see myself as someone who really enjoys steamed vegetables and fresh fruit smoothies'

'I see myself as an exercise personality. I love to exercise and feel great when I do'

Once you switch the way you 'see yourself' it becomes really simple.

In my quest to find better ways of helping you reach optimum health, I am starting a live internet radio show about health and nutrition.

'Dare To Be Healthy' with Alia Almoayed is the name of my upcoming show.

It will air live in English every Monday on the World Talk Radio network, the first and biggest in live internet radio shows with more than a million monthly listeners.

My show will air worldwide for one hour every Monday at 9pm Bahrain time (6pm GMT, 11am PT), and will repeat 12 hours later.

I'm working on all the details as we speak, and the launch episode will be on October 25. So mark your calendar!

I'll be talking about all kinds of health topics. Weight loss; kids health; natural medicine cabinet and more.

I'll also be bringing lots of interesting guests on the show to talk about various alternative therapies. You'll hear great health advice, amazing interviews, book reviews, and lots more.

All you'll have to do is get online and click on the show link. Oh, and you'll have the chance to ask live questions as well!

Of course, I'll be sending you the link and everything closer to the time. Make sure you sign up on my website to get the latest information. To sign up, visit www.AliaAlmoayed.com
