CURVES in Budiaya is encouraging women to get their annual mammograms and perform monthly breast self-examinations during breast cancer awareness month.
Women who bring in a mammogram performed within the last year, or make a donation to the Think Pink Bahrain fundraising campaign will be waived from paying a service fee when they join the fitness centre throughout October.
"Not only are we rewarding women for having mammograms and encouraging them to perform breast-examinations, we are also educating people about the disease," a spokesman for the fitness centre said.
