St Christopher's Under-13 boys' side won the British Schools of the Middle East U13 football tournament for the first time.
The 16-team tournament, held in Dubai, saw the St Chris boys win all their seven group games including narrow 1-0 victories over Dubai College, English College and Jumeirah College.
The side scored 22 goals and conceded none before progressing to meet JESS in the final.
In the final, which was dominated by St Chris, the Jess boys managed to hold out for a goalless draw before progressing to penalties which St Chris eventually won 5-4in sudden death. Captained by Daryl Egan this was a huge team effort and victory was richly-deserved after some outstanding play and goals scored.
Henry Potter was named 'goalkeeper of the tournament' for his performances. The squad of 13 players was managed by Rob Subbiani and Sarah Hobday.
The St Chris girls also finished a creditable fourth in what was also a very competitive girls' tournament. The girls were managed by Mark Little and Mrs Hobday.
