KUWAIT Finance House (KFH) signed a contract with Ewan Al Bahrain for the construction and renovation of the Al Nuzul project; the restoration of a traditional Bahraini house.
The agreement was signed by Culture Minister and chairperson of the board of trustees of the Shaikh Ebrahim Centre for Culture and Research Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa and KFH managing director and chief executive officer Abdulhakeem Al Khayyat in the presence of other officials.
The development of Al Nuzul Project, located in the historic city of Muharraq, is envisaged to create a newly restored guesthouse for KFH-Bahrain to promote traditional Bahraini Architecture in the most prominent rural area in Bahrain, Muharraq.
Shaikha Mai hailed the initiative. She said: "This is an initial step in the right direction for the preservation of Bahrain's heritage. It is encouraging that institutions like KFH recognise how crucial it is to preserve Bahrain's architectural heritage, history and culture."
