Tamkeen's Enterprise Development Scheme, one of many programmes which aim at increasing the productivity of Bahraini enterprises, has been placed on display in Bahrain City Centre.

For two weeks, the interactive stand will demonstrate how Bahraini entrepreneurs and business owners can enhance their profitability, get support on purchasing machinery, gain quality management certifications, implement marketing initiatives and much more through the programmes of the Enterprise Development support schemes.

The application process for the programme has recently been revised to make it accessible to a wider section of the community. Approximately 400 Bahraini enterprises are enrolled and benefitting from the programme since the commencement of its second phase at the end of 2009, and the numbers are increasing by the month.

Innovative co-financing schemes under the programme include the 'business development scheme', the 'technical assistance scheme', the 'quality management systems scheme', the 'marketing assistance scheme', and the 'growth assistance scheme'.

Bahraini businesses wishing to apply for the programme can visit the stand, or contact the Enterprise Development Support Agency by calling 17565393. Interested applicants can also log on to www.tamkeen.bh/edsa.
