Alba chief operating officer (COO) Moh'd Mahmood will be retiring after 38 years with the company.
Chief supply chain officer Isa Al Ansari has taken over the responsibilities currently under the purview of the COO.
Mr Mahmood, right, played a key role in the growth and development of Alba's community service initiatives. He joined Alba in 1973 as an operator, and rose through the ranks to the position of manager-process control. He went on to the position of manager-human resources, then general manager-metal production, and finally, to his last role as COO.
Alba chief executive Laurent Schmitt said: "Moh'd Mahmood's loyalty and dedication to the growth and development of Alba, and support to the welfare of the local community have been the hallmark of his career. He has been a key player in the company's transformation from being a pioneering smelter in the region to the global player that it is today."
