While the English FA Cup quarter-finals failed to reproduce any of the shock results witnessed in earlier rounds, it has left Manchester United with a tough semi-final against the 'noisy-neighbours' that crow about actually inhabiting the city itself, writes Abu George.

City, the Etihad-backed outfit, will be hoping that Ferguson fields a similar line-up including no less than seven defenders.

What makes the semi-final draw remarkable is the proximity of all four teams, namely Bolton Wanderers and Stoke City.

Last time City played United in an FA Cup semi-final they got through to the 1926 final only to lose 1-0 to Wanderers. What's the chance of that happening again?

However, despite being separated by only 55 miles, all teams will be forced to make the four-hour trek to London for a Wembley date in mid-April!
