Sar Music Centre opened its doors to children suffering the 'stay at home' blues caused by the sudden closure of schools in the kingdom following recent unrest.
The marvellous 'Music Now! Morning Camps' have captured the hearts of scores of creative children of all ages.
Currently being run from Sunday to Thursday between 9am and 12.30pm, the children have been split into two age groups - six to 11 and 12-plus - and the classes have been open to all youngsters, whether they are talented musicians or have no musical experience.
The sessions include a mixture of African drumming, musical theatre and drama skills, singing, music theory, song writing, instrumental improvisation and exploring instruments.
"We tried to contact as many bored kids and frustrated parents as possible and we've been delighted by the feedback!" said organiser Lydia Martin.
The sessions cost only BD5 a day for enrolled students. Contact 39047734 for more details.
