International DJ Stevie George can be found entertaining the masses at Muju Lounge on Amwaj Island and many other places around Bahrain.

On Sunday British Summer Time begins with the clocks going forward an hour from Greenwich Mean Time, but why do the clocks change in the UK? We've been changing our clocks backwards and forwards in the UK since 1916 and it all started when a London builder called William Willett first proposed the idea of British Summer Time in 1907.

Today, approximately 70 countries utilise daylight saving time and I was going to do some time-related tunes for this week ... but a far more timely issue surfaced - the demolition of the Pearl monument.

So here we go, in a roundabout sort of way:

Sting - Demolition Man was released as an album track back in 1993, and then got to number 21 in the UK singles charts. Not many other songs can claim the word demolition in their title.

Elkie Brooks - Pearl's A Singer first surfaced back in 1977 - it is a moving song about an aging singer who feels life has passed her by.

Phil Lynott - Yellow Pearl from 1982 also keeps the name rockin', and many UK readers may recognise it as the theme tune to Top Of The Pops for many years.

Yes - Roundabout is the opening track for the 1971 album Fragile by British progressive rock band Yes, and probably their most recognised song. Similarly, as with Demolition Man, seems to be the only other chart song with roundabout in the title.

But as always I'm leaving the very best song till last - and what a cracker it is. The first track on side two of this old 1970s vinyl (yes, vinyl!) Sesame Street album was The Square Song, which failed miserably to help teach kids - and international TV and radio journalists in particular - the difference between a square shape and a roundabout.

So, let's leave you with this thought - just what is the speed of dark?
