VIVA has announced the arrival of new iPhone 4 handsets in all its stores due to overwhelming demand. The mobile device sold out within a few days of its exclusive VIVA launch, underscoring the popularity of VIVA’s value offerings in the Bahraini market.

GFH financial results
Gulf Finance House (GFH) has announced the financial results for the quarter ending March 31, reporting a net profit of $11.9 million as compared to $7.5 million loss for the same period last year.

The comprehensive plan for the period included major reduction in operational costs where total expenses of the bank were reduced by almost 50 per cent from $25.9 million to $14.5 million, because of stringent cost cutting measures coupled with aggressive debt restructurings undertaken by the bank. Total income for the period was $26.4 million.

Entrepreneurs Day
AROUND 300 delegates and VIPs attended the third Entrepreneurs Day organised by AIESEC Bahrain at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, Residence & Spa in partnership with Bahrain Development Bank.

“Entrepreneurs Day 2011 stood out from previous years’ events in terms of the diversity of the attendees - they were of all ages and backgrounds, from high schools and universities and from the corporate/business sector in Bahrain,” said Aisha Siddiqa, marketing and communications manager for Entrepreneurs Day 2011.
