The father and son pairing of Chris and Jake Core won the ninth competition of the NHSC Monday Madness Night Golf Series at the Royal Golf Club.
Their superb score of 37 points in the Aggregate Stableford format narrowly gave them the win on the countback system. The husband and wife pairing of Rory and Karen Black had to settle for the runners-up spot, also with 37 points. The duo of Helmut Franek and Rob Kennedy made up the top three with a score of 36 points.
Jake nearly holed his approach to the 12th to win the nearest the pin side contest on that hole while Franek was just as close with his shot on the 16th gaining him a nearest the pin prize too.
Andrew Thomas, sales manager for NHSC, presented the prizes in the club’s Members’ Lounge.
