Whisperer

IN recent years bank workers have suffered a miserable reputation but there is one outstanding individual in our midst. A young woman recently sold her car and popped into a branch of Standard Chartered to collect the transferred sum. She placed the bundle of cash wrapped in a rubber band into her bag. Four hours after returning to her office in Manama the same teller called to ask if she had counted the notes. She replied: “No” and was asked to do so whilst he waited on the phone. She was short by BD100. He apologised, said it was his fault entirely and arranged for its collection. Amazing.
