Sar Music Centre will be holding a variety of summer camps and courses during the holiday period.

On Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 4pm- 5pm a Theory and Musicianship Course will be staged for students aged over 10. The course will cover aural training, general music theory, listening skills, music history, identifying musical styles, forms and textures.

A musical mayhem course will be held throughout the week until the end of summer from 3 to 4pm. Children aged between three and six can enjoy singing, dancing, music and movement, exploring instruments, musical stories, African drumming and musical art.

The Rugby Club presents an evening with two legendary rugby players Sean Fitzpatrick, ex All Black captain and DHL’s RWC ambassador, and Cameron Mather, former Scottish international. The second of the two biathlon events will take place at the Marina Club in Manama. It will include a Summer Biathlon which will consist of a 600m swim followed by a five-km run. The ‘Try a Bi’ event consists of a 200m swim followed by a three-km run. Entry for both is open to those aged 16 and above. The Juniors Try a Bi is for children aged 12 to 15. Footballers can get the sand between their toes and aim for glory in the Lost Paradise of Dilmun Ramadan Beach Football tournament.

The five-a-side competition will be held every Saturday starting from August 6. It is open to all players aged 18 and above. The registration fee is BD100 per team and the final date to sign-up is July 26. There are ‘splash down’ passes, medals and a trophy for the winnners.

Return to Fairytale Land will be staged at Bahrain City Centre featuring the legendary tales of Little Red Riding Hood, Pinocchio and Cinderella with daily shows taking place over the next three days.
And, Barbie will be calling for the help of Bahrain’s youngest talent as she prepares for an upcoming rock concert from July 27-30.
