Kate has a lot on her mind. There’s the ethics problem of buying furniture on the cheap at estate sales and marking it up at her trendy Manhattan store. There’s the marriage problem with her husband Alex. And there’s Kate’s problem of how to live well and be a good person when poverty, homelessness, and sadness are always right outside the door.

After being adopted by Mr Wong, Norbit, a mild-mannered young man ends up marrying a vile woman named Rasputia who degrades him daily. When Norbit’s childhood love, Kate Thomas, arrives back in town to buy the orphanage where they grew up Norbit sees this as his chance to get back together with her. However, her vindictive fiancé and the despicable Rasputia have a plan to keep them apart.

Ludlow teams up with a young Robbery Homicide Detective to track Washington’s killers through the diverse communities of Los Angeles. Their determination pays off when the two detectives track down Washington’s murderers and confront them in an attempt to bring them to justice.
