Wheelathon at Bahrain International Circuit – families are invited to wheel around the famous grand prix circuit on Friday, October 28. Any non-motorised form of wheeled transport is allowed from cycles to skateboards. Funds raised will be shared between Think Pink Bahrain and the RIA Centre. Call 39432133 for more details.

The World Beat Café at the World Beat Fitness Centre in Janabiya will hold a Coffee Morning Fashion show with guests Amani and Haya, owners of Flo motion-wear with the theme ‘Where Fitness Meets Fashion’ on October 27 from 9.45am to 11.30am. The Ecumenical Conference of Charity will have a dinner dance event on November 4 at 7.30pm at The Gulf International Convention Centre in Adliya. ECC’s primary aim is to help all people in crisis situations and all donations go directly to help the poor.

WMC Toastmasters Club (WMC TMC), chartered in 2003, celebrates its 200th meeting on Friday at 4.30pm at the Crowne Plaza Bahrain. Mohan Kumar, ambassador of India to Bahrain, will be a guest at the event.

Pirates will be dropping anchor at the Lost Paradise of Dilmun Water Park (LPOD) from Nov 3 to 16 aiming to thrill the crowds with their swash-buckling sword displays, acrobatic skills, dancing, pyrotechnics and high dives.

Pirates in Bahrain will feature a giant pirate ship boasting a 60m high mast and a diving platform.

There will be four daily shows – 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm – with a total of 52 performances.

Tickets will cost BD22 and include entry to the park with all its attractions as well as the show.

Food and beverages are not included. If you fancy a bit of grub, pirates will escort guests to their tables where they can feast on ‘buccaneering fare’ washed down with flagons of pirate punch and grog.
