Bahrain’s national carrier Gulf Air is further expanding its operations into Saudi Arabia with services to three more destinations – Gassim, Yanbu and Taif – taking the total number of cities to seven in the neighbouring kingdom.
Services to Taif will begin from January 15, 2012, with four flights per week while flights to Gassim will start on January 17 with three flights per week. Yanbu services will begin from February 15 with three flights a week.
Gulf Air CEO Samer Majali said: “These new destinations manifest our strategy to identify and serve niche and under-served markets and, create potentially high yield city-pairs by providing a direct service.
“It is one more example of our pioneering tradition, establishing our leadership position as we become the first international airline to fly into Taif. I would like to thank the Saudi authorities for their co-operation in getting necessary permissions.”
The airline will give triple bonus miles to its Falcon-flyer members travelling to these cities applicable from the date of travel for three months.
Special inaugural promotional fares to these three cities start at BD70 plus taxes that can be booked on gulfair.com, through Gulf Air sales offices and through its contact centre on 17335777.
