SUPER chef and businessman Dominic Miles will be putting his best foot forward in an Olympic Triathlon event on Friday in a bid to support Rebecca Jones in her battle to bring her son Adam home.
The Saar father-of-two will be competing in the ElevenDubai event which consists of a 1.5km swim, 40km cycle session and a 10km run. “I’m one of those people that needs to set a goal to lose a few pounds rather than just pop to the gym.
“This is such a worthy cause and we live in a small country with a big community spirit. Hopefully my efforts will help raise awareness about Adam and bring back into focus something that has been going on for two years which is far too long in my opinion.”
Dominic is married to Michelle and they have two children, Hannah, five, and Connor, eight, who go to St Christopher’s School, which Adam attended.
The 44-year-old director of intagulf considers himself lucky to be able to participate in serious sporting events as he suffered crippling injuries following a parachute jump to celebrate his 30th birthday.
His shattered ankle needed five hours of surgery and he has an array of metal pins and plates holding his shin to his foot. The accident happened seven weeks before his wedding and he managed to hobble to the church on time with the use of a cane.
