Platimun sponsor Euro Motors showcased four bikes and a range of accessories at the Batelco Bahrain Bike Week which took place at Bahrain Mall.
On show were the S 1000 RR, R 1200 GS / GS Adventure, the K1300 R as well as one of the world’s most popular and versatile single-cylinder motorbikes, the G 650 GS.
Robust and powerful, the G 650 GS boasts an engine that delivers an impressive 48 bhp at 6,500 rpm and maximum torque of 60 Nm at 5,000 rpm, yet is still extremely light which makes it ideal for beginners due to its low fuel consumption and simple handling.
The S 1000 RR is a highly-innovative straight-four super sport motorcycle that combines engine output of 193bhp with overall weight of just 204kg. It comes equipped with Race ABS and DTC Dynamic Traction Control, for improved riding dynamics and safety.
The BMW K 1300 S combines sporting character and riding dynamics with light-footed handling and superior performance with everyday practicality.
And, BMW Motorrad’s R 1200 GS/ GS Adventure has a sporty look and is popular for long distance riding.
The Batelco Bahrain Bike Week last week also featured activities for motorbike enthusiasts including bike shows, stunts, a parade and a charity ride. A donation will be made to the Bahrain Cancer Society and the Royal Charity for Orphans.
Paul Yates, general manager at Euro Motors said: “We hoped to awaken more interest in motorbikes in the kingdom, but primarily we wanted to make a difference in the lives of those in need.”
Euro Motors will soon open a new section of its showroom in Sitra to display the BMW Motorsport Motorrad machines.
