The Studio RCT Golf Day was held at Awali Golf Club last Friday. The competition was played in the stableford format with both morning and afternoon competitors enjoying perfect playing conditions.
Hamad Fares was crowned the overall champion with a fantastic score of 43 points. He was closely followed by Essa Al Qutami who finished runner-up with 41 points, Jeffrey Barrett finished in third place with 40 points, and Awali Golf Club’s Vice Captain Steve Newall finished in fourth place.
The final two prizes went to Robert Storrie and Abdul ElahFakhro who each finished on 39 points. Keith Hindmarsh also finished on 39 points but was unfortunate to lose out on the ‘count back’ rule.
As part of the Studio RCT Golf Day there were no less than 15 side prizes to be won including best front nine score, best back nine score, nearest the pins, longest putts and straightest drives.
Awali Golf Club would like to thank Studio RCT proprietor and Awali Golf Club member Roberta Trzebinski for her generous support and contribution to the tournament.
Following the prize giving, the players and guests enjoyed an Italian themed dinner to round off a successful competition.
